Saccharomyces boulardii is a health-promoting, probiotic yeast. It is a stomach acid-resistant probiotic, proven to survive high temperatures and transit into the intestines. As a probiotic, S. boulardii actively promotes healthy gastrointestinal flora, strengthens intestinal barrier function, and enhances immune function. This formulation is freeze-dried, lactose-free, and strain-verified through genetic typing to ensure maximum efficacy.
S. boulardii is a unique species of a "good" probiotic yeast that helps prevent an overabundance of other bad yeast and fungi in the gut, like Candida albicans.
The literature also shows S. boulardii is helpful in management of IBS symptoms, treating acute diarrhea, preventing and treating parasite infections, preventing C. diff infection, and preventing side effects from antibiotic use. It helps improve the integrity of the intestinal lining, which can reduce inflammation and help to heal leaky gut (see publication below).

Yeast loves sugar, carbs, and alcohol in the diet. Yeast overgrowth is often a sign of imbalance in the gut microbiome. If you have uncontrolled sugar cravings, it could be a sign of yeast overgrowth since our microbiomes often influence our food cravings.
Symptoms of yeast overgrowth include recurrent vaginal yeast infections, skin rashes like tinea versicolor (lightened round patches on the skin), or toenail fungus. SIFO stands for Small Intestine Fungal Overgrowth; a condition similar to SIBO, Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth.
For patients suffering from recurrent yeast infections, taking S. boulardii may be helpful in improving the gut microbiome balance, and preventing overgrowth of bad fungi or yeast in the body.
Suggested Dose: 1 capsule in AM on empty stomach. It can be taken along with Probiotic 100 billion CFU or Probiotic 225 billion CFU.
Those with IBS, often benefit from S. boulardii, which can help improve symptoms.
S. boulardii is also helpful for those suffering from Histamine Intolerance.
