FAQ

What part of the aloe plant leaf is used in Aloe Pro?
Cape Aloe comes from the inner leaf latex of Aloe ferax. Although this contains the latex part of the leaf, this is not known to cause reactions in those with a typical latex allergy such as those allergic to the rubber form of latex.
Can it be used daily?
Aloe Pro is intended for occasional use of stubborn constipation. Ideally, we recommend Essential Magnesium and Motility Activator as first line treatments of constipation as they are safe to use daily and do not create a dependency. Aloe pro is a stimulant laxative so it should be used as needed, rather than daily. Sometimes daily use is needed temporarily during treatment of Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) for severe chronic constipation to ensure full elimination which is essential to a successful treatment outcome. However, after a few weeks, it should be weaned down.
What are potential side effects of Aloe Pro?
Some people tolerate Aloe Pro without side effects, while other may experience abdominal pain and cramping since it works as a stimulant laxative.
What should Aloe Pro be taken with?
Aloe Pro is an “add on” if Essential Magnesium (up to 4 capsules) and Motility Activator (up to 2 capsules) at bedtime is not working for stubborn constipation.
If I have longstanding chronic constipation, what could be the root cause?
Intestinal Methanogen Overgrowth (IMO) is often a root cause of chronic constipation. You can diagnose this with a lactulose breath test. If positive, you can treat it with my Herbal Protocol for SIBO. Clearing IMO may help your chronic constipation.
Who should avoid using Aloe Pro?
Aloe Pro should not be used by children under 18 without express approval and supervision by a pediatrician or other qualified healthcare provider. Pregnant or lactating women should not use Aloe Pro. Those with an allergy to aloe vera, should not use Aloe Pro.
What allergens are in Aloe Pro?
Not manufactured with wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, fish, shellfish, or tree nut ingredients. Produced in a GMP facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens or other trace ingredient carriers. This product is encapsulated in a vegetarian capsule.
How should I store Aloe Pro?
Aloe Pro should be stored in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight.
