FAQ

What does “Methyl” mean?
Methyl is a carbon atom surrounded by three hydrogen atoms. When a methyl group is added to Folic Acid, it becomes Methylfolate. When added to B12 (cobalamin), it becomes Methylcobalamin. These methylated forms are preferred because they bypass a key step handled by the MTHFR enzyme. Around 50% of the population has a mutation in the MTHFR gene, which makes it harder for them to use standard forms like Folic Acid or Cyanocobalamin (B12).
Who can benefit from Methyl B Complex?
Anyone wanting to support their energy, mood, focus, or stress response can benefit from Methyl B Complex. It is especially beneficial for people with the MTHFR gene mutation.
When is the best time to take Methyl B Complex?
It is best taken after a meal, preferably breakfast or lunch. Since it boosts energy, it’s recommended earlier in the day rather than close to bedtime.
What are side effects of Methyl B Complex?
Methyl B Complex is generally well tolerated. Taking it too late in the day may lead to restlessness or trouble sleeping. In rare cases, it may flare up acne in sensitive individuals. It also causes bright yellow urine, which is completely normal.
What should my doctor monitor if I take Methyl B Complex?
Your doctor should monitor your homocysteine level, which reflects how well your methylation (detox) pathway is functioning. An ideal homocysteine level is 6 micromols/L or lower. If your levels are elevated, taking Methyl B Complex daily may help.
Who should avoid taking Methyl B Complex?
People with neuropathy or a history of high B6 levels should avoid Methyl B Complex, as it contains B6. A better alternative in these cases is Methyl B12 Tablets, which do not contain B6. Pregnant and lactating women should consult their doctor before using Methyl B Complex.
What allergens are in Methyl B Complex?
Methyl B Complex is free from gluten, dairy, and soy. It comes in a vegetarian capsule.

More Energy and Calmness

Literally the same day I started taking it I noticed more energy. For exaple I work 10 hour days and have a long commute. It usually takes me a day to recover and I get very little done. First day I got up and cleaned my house, instead of lying on the couch all day. Also, I have more tolerance and calmness about things that normally would get to me. I may have the MTHFR gene mutation. This product works. Husband loves it too.
