Symptoms of Dysbiosis

Hi Friends,
Have you ever been frustrated by your own body odor or bad breath?
Maybe you’ve noticed it lingers—even after brushing your teeth or taking a shower.
What many people don’t realize is that these changes can be a clue that something has shifted internally… especially in your gut.
🎥 Watch my short video above to learn why this happens.
Each of us has a unique “gut garden,” teeming with trillions of microorganisms. But when something disrupts this delicate balance, it allows “weeds” to overgrow—a condition known as dysbiosis.
Sometimes these “weeds” are harmful bacteria. Other times, they can be yeast or fungal organisms.
Common triggers for dysbiosis include antibiotics, the Standard American Diet (SAD diet 🙁), medications like birth control pills, acid-suppressing drugs such as PPIs, and chronic stress.
What’s fascinating is that body odor and bad breath are often just the tip of the iceberg.
Long-standing dysbiosis has been linked to a wide range of chronic conditions, including obesity, autoimmune diseases, cancers, skin rashes, mood changes, neurodegenerative conditions, hormonal imbalances, and more.
It can even contribute to food sensitivities—such as reactions to gluten, dairy, histamines, or certain carbohydrates.
The good news is that dysbiosis is very treatable—and once you address it at the root, many of these symptoms can begin to improve.

This is a decadent, moist, tart-sweet cake. It’s gluten-free, dairy-free, refined-sugar free, and much lower in carbs compared to standard cakes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix together the dry ingredients in a large bowl:

1/2 cup coconut flour
2 tsp baking powder (aluminum-free)
1/4 tsp salt
Mix together the wet ingredients in a separate large bowl:

3/4 cup light olive oil
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup lemon juice (1 lemon)
1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
Zest of 1 lemon
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in batches and mix well.
Pour into a greased baking dish and bake for 25 min at 350 degrees F, or until a knife comes out clean.
