Hi Friends,
Do you or a loved one suffer from an autoimmune disease? Autoimmune diseases are increasingly common, with more than 100 different conditions identified today.
What causes the immune system to start attacking your own tissues? In the video above, I explain some of the major factors involved, including genetics, infections, the gut microbiome, environmental triggers, the hygiene hypothesis, and what’s known as a “breach of tolerance.”
Conventional medicine often relies on immunosuppressive medications, including steroids and biologic therapies. These treatments can sometimes be necessary and lifesaving, but I believe we also need to look at the factors that may be driving immune dysfunction in the first place.
The great news is that there is a lot you can do through diet and lifestyle. The gut and immune system are closely connected, which is why addressing gut health is such an important part of my approach. Many people with autoimmune disease also struggle with Leaky Gut and Dysbiosis, or an imbalance in the gut microbiome.
Why can eliminating foods like gluten🥖 and dairy🧀 sometimes make such a difference? What about nightshade vegetables🍆 and nuts? I cover all of this and more in the video.
Certain nutrients can also play an important role in supporting immune balance.
Key Supplements Helpful In Autoimmune Diseases:
- ✅ Vitamin D3 with K2: A key modulator of the immune system.
- ✅ Omega 3 Fish Oil can help lower inflammation and help with joint pain
- ✅ Turmeric Pro: Has anti-inflammatory benefits
- ✅ Essential Magnesium: Helps with liver detox pathways, bowel regularity, and restful sleep
- ✅ Selenium: This antioxidant trace mineral has been shown to reduce TPO antibodies in Hashimoto’s.
- ✅ Glutathione or NAC : These antioxidants work at a cellular level to reverse damage from free radicals.
Gut Healing: The Cornerstone of Autoimmune Recovery
- ✅ L Glutamine: Heals leaky gut, one of the primary drivers of autoimmune disease.
- ✅ IgG Guard: Dairy-free immunoglobulins; also great for leaky gut
- ✅ Digestive Enzyme Pro: This improves the breakdown of food as undigested proteins can sometimes confuse the immune system
- ✅ Probiotic 100 Billion or Probiotic 225 Billion: Rebuilds your gut microbiome, restoring balance and strength to your body’s natural defenses.
