🧠 5 Mind-Blowing Facts About Your Brain
(That All Start in Your Gut)

Dear Friends,

Have you ever wondered why you feel foggy, anxious, or down—even when your labs look “normal”?
The answer may lie not in your brain, but in your gut.

Here are 5 mind-blowing facts about your brain that all stem back to your gut. Watch my short video above for a quick summary!

1. 90% of your serotonin is made in your gut—not your brain.
That “feel-good” neurotransmitter responsible for mood, sleep, and focus? It’s mostly produced by your gut microbes! The same goes for melatonin, the sleep hormone.

2. Dysbiosis (an imbalance of gut bacteria) can trigger brain symptoms.
When harmful bacteria outnumber beneficial ones, it can lead to brain fog, anxiety, and even depression. This is why probiotics have been
scientifically proven to improve mood and mental health outcomes.

3. Leaky gut allows bacterial toxins (like LPS) to cross the blood-brain barrier. Increased translocation of gram-negative bacteria plays a role in the inflammatory pathophysiology of depression. These toxins trigger neuroinflammation, a root cause of fatigue, poor memory, and cognitive decline.

4. Your gut microbes influence how your brain ages.
An
unhealthy gut has been linked to increased risk of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative conditions.

5. The gut and brain are in constant communication through the vagus nerve.
This means every gut symptom could be a brain signal—and vice versa.

How to Support Your Gut-Brain Axis Naturally🌿

If you’re experiencing brain fog, mood swings, or poor sleep, supporting your gut-brain connection is a powerful first step.
Here are my top treatments that have worked successfully with my patients:

L-Glutamine Powder – Helps heal leaky gut and calm gut inflammation

Probiotic 100 Billion – Replenishes healthy bacteria that support serotonin, dopamine, and melatonin production

Methyl B Complex – Promotes methylation and boosts serotonin and dopamine

Vitamin D3 with K2 – A longevity vitamin/hormone essential for brain and immune function

Essential Magnesium – Calms the nervous system, promotes deep sleep, and breaks down anxiety-producing neurotransmitters

Omega-3 Fish Oil – Provides brain-essential fatty acids and lowers inflammation

Phosphatidyl Serine – A brain-protective phospholipid that helps lower cortisol and improve memory

❀ I want you to know how much I truly appreciate every comment you leave on my YouTube channel. I read as many as I can, and each one reminds me why I do this work. This week, one particular comment stopped me in my tracks—it was so thoughtful and uplifting, I just had to share it with you. ❀

Baked Wild Salmon
One of my favorite brain-boosting meals is baked wild salmon with vegetables for dinner.  The recipe is super quick and easy to make, and quite flavorful!  It's a great anti-inflammatory meal full of omega-3 fatty acids, quality protein, fiber, and antioxidants for optimal mental clarity!

Defrost Frozen Wild Alaskan Salmon

Preheat oven to 425 F.

Place salmon fillets in a glass baking dish.

Sprinkle each salmon fillet with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and paprika.

Drizzle with olive oil to keep the fillets moist.

Bake for 15 minutes.

Serve with freshly sautéed vegetables and basmati rice.

Enjoy!

Your brain reflects the state of your gut. It’s not in your head—it’s in your gut.
When you heal your gut—you heal your mind.

With warmth and gratitude,
