FAQ

What bacteria are present in Spore Probiotic IgG?
It contains 3 strains of spore-based Bacillus probiotics: Bacillus coagulans, Bacillus clausii, and Bacillus subtilis. These strains have been shown to be beneficial in treating Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
What is the IgG in this probiotic?
IgG refers to bovine serum-derived immunoglobulins (IgG antibodies) that help rapidly heal gut inflammation and bind toxins and bad microbiota in the gut. These antibodies are known to support leaky gut healing, which often occurs with SIBO. IgG also improves food tolerance and can reduce “die-off” symptoms that arise during SIBO treatment.
What is the dose and how should I take Spore Probiotic IgG?
The full recommended dose is 3 capsules daily, best taken first thing in the morning on an empty stomach with a glass of water. You can begin with 1 capsule per day and gradually increase to the full dose.
What are side effects of Spore Probiotic IgG?
Spore Probiotic IgG is generally well tolerated. Occasionally, some people may experience bloating. If this occurs, reduce the dose and slowly work up to the full 3-capsule dose.
Can I use Spore Probiotic IgG even if I don’t have SIBO, or after I finish treating SIBO?
Yes, definitely. Many people with gut issues and IBS benefit from spore-based Bacillus probiotics and the anti-inflammatory support of IgG antibodies. After treating SIBO, some may also benefit from switching to a broader-spectrum probiotic like Probiotic 100 Billion.
Can pregnant or lactating women take Spore Probiotic IgG?
Pregnant or lactating women should consult their physician before beginning Spore Probiotic IgG.
What allergens are present in Spore Probiotic IgG?
Spore Probiotic IgG is free of gluten, dairy, and soy. It contains trace amounts of highly purified and refined corn-derived maltodextrin. It includes bovine-derived immunoglobulins.
Why is corn maltodextrin in this product?
Corn maltodextrin is a commonly used ingredient in the dietary supplement industry—not as a therapeutic component, but as a carrier or processing aid that plays a critical role in the stability, consistency, and viability of active ingredients like probiotic strains. In this formulation, it’s used to dilute the highly concentrated spore-forming probiotic strains to an accurate, standardized dose (CFUs) per serving, and to help preserve their potency during encapsulation and throughout the shelf life. The corn maltodextrin used in our products is highly purified and refined, to the extent that it contains no detectable allergenic corn proteins. This makes it generally non-immunogenic and safe for most individuals with corn sensitivities, although individual tolerances can vary. Additionally, it is used in such extremely small amounts—just enough to serve its functional role as a carrier—that it contributes no meaningful nutritional or physiological impact. Its inclusion ensures proper dosing, ingredient stability, and overall reliability of the supplement.
