FAQ

Common symptoms include sugar cravings, bloating, fatigue, brain fog, and gas. Outward signs can include dandruff, toenail fungus, skin rashes, thrush, or vaginal yeast infections.SIFO (Small Intestine Fungal Overgrowth) often mimics SIBO (Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth) symptoms such as bloating and irregular bowels. If you’ve had multiple antibiotic courses or a high-sugar diet, yeast overgrowth is more likely.

Most patients notice improvement within 2–4 weeks, especially reduced bloating, cravings, and fatigue. Full treatment usually lasts about six weeks, though some individuals may need longer for deeper gut healing.

Testing is optional. While stool microbiome testing can confirm yeast overgrowth, many people begin this protocol based on clear symptoms and history. The protocol is safe and evidence-based for those with suspected fungal overgrowth.

If you are on prescription medications, please check with your pharmacist or physician before beginning treatment, since Berberine can interact with certain prescription medications such as blood thinners.

Yes. As yeast die, they can release toxins that cause temporary fatigue, brain fog, and body aches. Stay well-hydrated and support daily bowel movements with Essential Magnesium to help flush out toxins. These symptoms typically subside within a few days.

Focus on protein, healthy fats, and fiber at every meal. Avoid sugar, grains, dairy, alcohol, and all fruit for the first month. Non-starchy vegetables and dark leafy greens are encouraged.

After one month, you may reintroduce low-glycemic fruits such as berries or green apples.

Yes, in moderation. Black coffee or unsweetened green tea is fine, but skip sugary creamers and sweetened drinks. If caffeine triggers anxiety or cravings, consider herbal teas instead.

Absolutely. Probiotic 100 Billion helps restore healthy bacteria, and S. Boulardii helps “crowd out” Candida. Take both in the morning on an empty stomach for best results.

Not necessarily.

The core Candida protocol includes Candida Support, Probiotic 100 Billion, and S. Boulardii.

If you have more severe bloating or suspected SIFO, use the Herbal Antimicrobial Trifecta Berberine Pro, Oregano Oil, and Allicidin, along with Probiotic 100 Billion and S. Boulardii.

Digestive Support (such as Digestive Enzyme Pro and Betaine & Pepsin) and Motility Support (Essential Magnesium and Motility Activator) are strongly recommended for optimal results.

Please download the full protocol at the top of this page for detailed instructions on how to properly take each supplement.

Meal spacing—waiting 4–5 hours between meals and 12 hours overnight—is part of the healing process. Avoid grazing between meals, as it helps the gut’s natural “cleaning waves” and reduces yeast fermentation in the small intestine.

It’s best to review all medications with your healthcare provider before starting any new supplements. For example, Berberine can interact with certain medications, such as blood thinners.

After completing the six-week protocol:

  • Continue Candida Support (1 capsule daily) and Probiotic 20 Billion with S. Boulardii for maintenance.
  • Avoid refined sugar, alcohol, processed foods, and refined grains.
  • Support your gut microbiome with fiber and greens.
  • Continue Digestive Enzyme Pro and Betaine & Pepsin if they help your digestion.
  • Maintain regular bowel movements with Essential Magnesium and Motility Activator if needed.

If symptoms worsen significantly or you experience persistent fever, abdominal pain, new rashes, or other concerning symptoms, please pause the protocol and consult your healthcare provider.

Yes. Although often discussed in women, men can also experience Candida overgrowth especially after antibiotics, excess sugar, or alcohol intake—leading to bloating, fatigue, and even jock itch or toenail fungus.

They often coexist. The Candida/SIFO protocol complements Dr. Rajsree’s SIBO Protocol. The herbal antimicrobials Berberine Pro, Oregano Oil, and Allicidin effectively treat Candida, SIFO, and SIBO.

The herbal antimicrobials are designed for six-week cycles, but probiotics, Digestive Enzyme Pro, and Essential Magnesium can be continued long-term to maintain a balanced microbiome and prevent relapse.

Probiotic 20 Billion with S. Boulardii is an excellent maintenance probiotic that supports long-term balance and helps prevent Candida or SIFO relapse. It’s both broad-spectrum and contains Saccharomyces boulardii for added protection.

You can sip on a glass of water with two drops of food-grade peppermint essential oil to freshen your breath. Applying natural essential oils on your body can also help.

If the odor is bothersome, you can reduce Allicidin to once daily or omit it entirely and continue with Berberine Pro + Oregano Oil or Candida Support instead.

Methyl B Complex is recommended to support energy and mood during Candida or SIFO treatment. Proper hydration, meal spacing, and rest also enhance your body’s ability to heal.
