Hi Friends,
What if I told you your gut is like a garden—a living ecosystem with flowers, weeds, soil, and pollinators—and that most treatments only focus on pulling the weeds?
The Elemental Diet is a liquid diet often claimed to be a “cure” for Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), promising to wipe out bloating in just 2–3 weeks. But in my experience, this so-called miracle almost always comes with a high relapse rate.
In my latest video, I reveal why I don’t recommend the Elemental Diet as a first-line treatment, why symptoms so often return, and the few situations where it can be used strategically.
👉 Even if you don’t have SIBO, you’ll want to watch. You’ll see the gut through a whole new lens—my garden analogy brought to life with original animations, with each and every diagram personally created by me. 🌿
Because true gut healing isn’t about starving bacteria—it’s about restoring the entire ecosystem: the irrigation, the pollinators, the soil, the sunlight, and more. ✨
This is one of my most creative videos yet: packed with educational pearls and artistic storytelling that may completely change the way you see the gut microbiome.
As you’ll see in the video, there are specific situations where the Elemental Diet can be critically helpful. For those who may need it, I now carry the Physician’s Elemental Diet in my online store. It’s free of dairy proteins, dextrose, and made with clean, high-quality ingredients that I trust in my practice.
Elemental Diet
For those who are looking for more lasting solutions to SIBO, I encourage you to learn more about my 4-Phase Herbal Protocol for SIBO. Unlike the short-term relief of the Elemental Diet, this protocol addresses the root causes of SIBO—restoring motility, supporting digestion, healing the gut lining, and rebalancing the microbiome. It’s the same step-by-step approach I use in my practice to help patients achieve real, long-term healing.

Cauliflower “Risotto”
Risotto has always been one of my favorite comforting dishes. But did you know you can make something just as cozy, with far fewer carbs, in under 15 minutes? With only three main ingredients, this “risotto” is creamy, flavorful, and requires almost no effort!
If you’re new to nutritional yeast, it has a naturally cheesy, savory flavor and is an excellent source of B vitamins and protein.
Ingredients
2 bags frozen cauliflower rice (10 oz each)
2 Tbsp butter (or light olive oil if dairy-free)
½ cup nutritional yeast
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions
Place the frozen cauliflower rice in a pot and cook, covered, over medium-low heat until softened and easy to break apart with a spoon.
Stir in the butter, nutritional yeast, salt, and black pepper.
Cover again and simmer on low heat for 5–10 minutes, until the texture reaches your desired creaminess.
Serving Suggestion
This comforting side dish pairs beautifully with salmon, roasted chicken, or your favorite protein.
Whether you’ve struggled with SIBO or are simply learning more about your gut, remember: healing is a journey. Be gentle with yourself, stay curious, and trust that every step you take nourishes your body in the right direction. 🌿
Wishing you peace, health, and balance this week.
